Imperial College Investment Society is excited to present the second in our 'Diversity in Finance' series of Events - BAME in Finance.
Background to the 'Diversity in Finance' Events Series:
Having role models when considering career paths and when deciding on the latitude of one's goals is incredibly important, and especially so for people from demographics which are underrepresented in their sectors of interest.
All too often however, students go through University without getting much exposure to what is possible - and this sometimes results in a lowering of the latitude of the goals that they set for themselves, and can lead to them avoiding certain sectors.
One way to address this issue is through events that put students in proximity to hear from and be able to ask questions to people who are of similar demographics and progressing in a career that they are interested in.
This event is designed to provide students with an opportunity to hear from and also engage with inspiring BAME professionals who are progressing in the Finance Sector.
NB: This event is open to all - you do not have to be from a BAME background to attend.
This event will give you an opportunity to hear from and engage with a hand-picked panel of some inspiring people of a BAME background who work in the Finance Sector.
If you attend a University other than Imperial College, you are still allowed to attend - but you MUST have a ticket as this is a strict requirement of the Imperial College Union. Free tickets are available here: https://bameif.eventbrite.co.uk
